BIRD ADOPTION PROGRAM

Chairperson, Kathy Post, 814-864-1911

The Erie Cage Bird Club takes in unwanted birds and places them into good, responsible homes. The Majority of the placements go to members of the bird club. Birds are accepted into the program with no remuneration to the previous owner, and new owners do not pay any fee for adopting the birds. Once accepted into the club's Adoption Program, birds are listed in our club newsletter, and applications for adoption are solicited from those interested in adopting the bird. Once applications have been received, the Adoption committee meets and reviews and considers all the applications, keeping the best interested of the individual bird first and foremost in it's decision for placement.

If you are interested in releasing a cage bird to our Adoption Program, or if you are interested in learning more about our Adoption Program, please contact us: 1mumc@pennswoods.net
If you have a bird that you can no longer keep, please feel free to contact the Erie Cage Bird Club at 814-864-1911, or 814-833-6922.
